En el primer trimestre de 2009 se redujeron un 16,9% respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior, según una estimación hecha pública hoy por hoy por la Fundación de Estudios de Economía Aplicada (Fedea). La crisis, la menor producción industrial, la caída de la demanda eléctrica y el aumento en la producción de energías renovables son varios de los motivos de esta reducción.
